Golfing 4 Teddy is a non-profit organization driven by the spirit of giving and compassion, established in 2015 by Heinrich and Megan. Our mission began with a simple yet profound gesture—replacing Christmas gifts for family with teddy bears for sick children in hospitals. That year, we distributed 150 teddy bears, bringing smiles to children who needed joy during the holiday season.
What started as a family initiative quickly grew into a community movement. The golf community rallied behind our cause, and since then, we’ve hosted an annual golf tournament to raise funds and collect teddy bears. These bears are lovingly distributed to hospitals across Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, with plans to expand nationwide. Each year, our tournament unites golfers, celebrities, and philanthropists, all dedicated to bringing happiness to children. Thanks to the support of our volunteers, sponsors, and media coverage by ENuus, we’ve been able to increase our impact, collecting over 2,000 teddy bears in 2022 and aiming to exceed 3,000 in 2023.
